  1. Care for Kids During Covid

Now, more than ever, vulnerable children need your support. For children and young people in out-of-home care, it is a particularly challenging time. At Adopt Change we want to make sure kids in vulnerable living situations are not forgotten; that there are enough carers for children and young people who need a safe place to live; and that there are adequate supports for families during this difficult part of their journey. And we need your help. Become a CHAMPION FOR KIDS DURING COVID and donate to our campaign. Your contribution will assist with the work we do in continuing to support families and communities in caring for displaced children whilst navigating these uncertain times. All donations are tax-deductible.

  2. Ellia Green | In memory of Yolanta Green

My mother, Yolanta Green, recently lost her brave battle with cancer. I would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time. My brother and I loved and adored our other very much and her long battle with cancer has been an inspiration to everyone that knew her. Mum never stopped fighting or being true to her values. She was an amazing, intelligent, unconditional loving woman who taught me so much and I will never forget. My brother and I are both adopted and mum was very passionate about helping more children find permanent, loving and safe homes through adoption. As an ambassador for Adopt Change I am very proud of the work they do and I know mum would be delighted if you donated to their organisation in lieu of flowers. Thank you, Ellia Green Adopt Change ambassador

  3. Codi Hogan | #AHOMEFOREVERYCHILD Yesvember Campaign

My name is Codi Hogan and I am a Year 6 student at John Paul College, Brisbane QLD. I am currently researching adoption as part of my last primary school project of the year and how we can make a difference to the kids so I would love your help! As a form of action for this project, I am advocating to change the issue of adoption in Australia. I agree that every child deserves access to a safe, nurturing and permanent family home. By supporting and donating to my fundraiser for Yesvember, you are supporting the wonderful work of Adopt Change. Turn November into Yesvember and support our work towards a home for every child. Every child deserves access to a safe, nurturing and permanent home. November is National Adoption Awareness Month(NAAM which exists to raise awareness of adoption and the importance of permanency for children, along with providing education on the support needs of children and families. NAAM aims to increase insight and understanding through a series of specialist and community-based events. Each year we hear from experts in issues surrounding adoption and permanency for children through seminars, workshops or conferences. Did you know?? There are nearly 50,000 children living in out of home care in Australia, many for two years or more. There were 315 adoptions in Australia in 2017, and while this is up from previous years, it is nowhere near the tens of thousands of Australian children requiring stability. 40% of children in out-of-home care have had between 2 and 10 placements. The impacts of impermanency are well documented, with many who have bounced around the foster care system as children experiencing poorer life outcomes such as homelessness, substance abuse, and health problems. Thank you for your support!

  4. Keyarnee Schaefer | #yesvember #ahomeforeverychild

My name is Keyarnee and I am a former foster child. I am advocating to change the issue of adoption in Australia, as I myself was not able to be adopted by my foster parents (who I still call mum and dad today). I strongly believe and advocate that every child deserves access to a safe, nurturing, loving and permanent family home. By supporting and donating to my fundraiser for Yesvember, you are supporting the wonderful work of Adopt Change. Turn November into Yesvember and support their work towards a home for every child. Every child deserves somewhere safe and loving to call home. Did you know?? There are nearly50,000 children living in out of home care in Australia, many for two years or more. So please support this cause especially during this Christmas period! Thank you for your support!

  5. Ebony McGuinness | Together we can change a child’s life

My aim is to help and support children whom are amongst us and orphaned and who heartbreakingly have no where to call home. We can’t help everyone but together we can help someone, we can change the world of a child who is in critical need of living a life of love with a forever long family. If we come together as one wonderful things will happen. I will be thankful for any support and donations. Thank you so very kindly.
