Act Together

ACT Together is a consortium of agencies who are working together to provide all services across the Continuum of Care. Working together ensures a range of skills, experience and expertise to ensure good practice and outcomes for children and young people.

Adoptive Families Association

Adoptive Families Association (AFA) of the ACT is a supportive community of adoptive parents and children providing friendship, information, advice and informal education on all aspects of adoption and adoptive parenting. The association is run by a small committee of volunteers who coordinate activities and resources. Member participation is always encouraged in organising, as well as attending, events. There are also some country-specific support groups who organise culturally specific events.

Benevolent Society

Post Adoption Resource Centre (PARC) offers specialised post adoption counselling and support in NSW and the ACT, including help searching for relatives and a mediation service for people making contact and reuniting with family members.

Carers ACT

Carers ACT is a not-for-profit organisation and the peak body for carers in the ACT.

Foster Carer Association ACT

The Foster Care Association of the ACT works to try and improve all aspects of the system in which we care for our children and young people.
